John Simmers is a professional violin maker in Brisbane Australia. He trained at the Newark School of Violin Making and has been making violin family instruments since 1990.
John is a full member of the Entente Internationale des Maitres Luthiers et Archetiers d’Art and a founding member of the Australian Violin Makers Association.
John’s own instruments are available in our studio as well as through a number of international dealers. He welcomes commissions for new instruments.
